bottle green & graphite, concrete & wood
Location: Eolian Park, Ursus, Warsaw
50m2
comprehensive project, realization planned for 2021/2022
Agnieszka and Michał are a very nice couple in their thirties who recently bought their first apartment in Warsaw. We started working on the project in a very good moment- a few months before the building handover.
The apartment has a very interesting and favorable layout compared with currently common development standards. The daytime area is well daylighted by high, double-sash balcony windows on both sides. The challenge was to maximize the storage space – there was initially no space for wardrobes in the bedroom and hall. Fortunately, slight movement of the door and partition walls solved the problem.
Investors wanted a comfortable space for cooking and entertaining guests. Hence, the proposed functional layout has a relatively large kitchen area and a table for 4-6 people. The main materials used in the interior are wood and concrete. There is a lot of bottle green color (Agnieszka’s postulate), some gray and the calacatta pattern (Michał’s postulate).
The large bathroom accommodates both a bathtub and a shower with a linear drain. I proposed the use of marble-like and wood-like tiles arranged in a herringbone pattern. The space will be complemented by black fittings and an asymmetrical countertop washbasin.
The living area is designed in a soft loft style. I used track lighting and black lighting fixtures, bottle green kitchen furniture and accessories in gray and navy blue. Investors are not afraid of the necessity of oiling, so a wooden worktop will be used. Bottle green is also present in the bedroom – as the color of the walls and the inner frame of the wardrobe around the bed. The whole apartment is very consistent in terms of materials and colors – I can’t wait to see the as-built effect.
